2013 In Review

Wow! Cannot believe we are already reviewing 2013 already. Seems like every year we always say “whew this year just flew by”, but it’s never been more true than in 2013 in Canada. This year we saw Johnathon Toews and the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup, we Justin Bieber went from an innocent boy to an animal, and Canadians continued to argue about pipelines… I guess some things do not change year over year.

In the world of online casinos in Canada we saw Bodog increase their bonus from 10% to 100%, sign an exclusive advertising deal with TSN and SportsNet, expand their offices in Montreal, add a new and improved mobile betting product for Canadians, and their website domain moved from Bodog.ca to Bodog.eu.

In other online casino news we saw the new Begado online casino open their doors to players from Canada after being a mainstay in the US market for a couple of years.

Going into 2014 we expect to see a little more of the same as far as Canadian online casinos are concerned with more and more offshore operators opening up their doors to accept Canadian players because of strict government regulations in the US, growing player base in Canada, and the fact that Canadians just rock in general!

From the country that brought you hockey, the invention of basketball by Canadian James Naismith, Pamela Anderson, and Matthew Perry, we are sure to expect even bigger and better things in 2014, especially with our selection of online casinos and sports betting sites to choose from as we make our way into next year. Let’s also not forget to mention the strides Sports Interaction made to close out 2013 with their casino product and mobile platform. We expect Sports Interaction to give the likes of Bodog Canada and All Slots Casino a run for their #1 positioning going into the new year. You can also look forward to an update in our rankings of the top 10 Canadian online casinos a week prior to the first of January in 2014.
